Kylie Watson-Wheeler

Senior Vice-President & Managing Director; The Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand

In her role within TWDC’s direct-to-consumer and international segment, Kylie leads the Australian and New Zealand business, including the upcoming Disney-branded streaming service.

Kylie is responsible for driving multiple business areas across TWDC in Australia and New Zealand, spanning film, TV, digital, home entertainment distribution and television. She manages a portfolio of content and products across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, ESPN and ABC Studios (US).

Kylie has more than a decade of experience with Disney across multiple areas of the business including marketing, sales, product, retail and theatrical distribution.  She most recently held the position of Vice-President, Consumer Products and Retail, and was responsible for driving Disney’s Consumer Products (DCP) and Retail businesses while also directing Disney’s retail sales strategy across all businesses, including home entertainment, e-commerce and direct-to-retail programs. 

Previously, she served as Chief Marketing Officer, where she led integrated marketing and franchise planning, media strategy, partnerships, social media and marketing communications.  She has also held the role of Director of Walt Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) across the Region of Australasia, South East Asia, India and Korea.Before joining Disney, Kylie was the Director of Advertising and Brand management for Hallmark Cards Inc., based in Kansas City, USA, where she oversaw and managed the marketing function for Hallmark’s US$4billion business globally. 

Prior to moving to the US, Kylie spent four years as Hallmark Australia’s Marketing Manager. Kylie has also held various marketing positions at Coca-Cola Amatil and Penguin Books.
