If you are after some retail therapy look no further than Rundle Mall. This is South Australia’s premier shopping destination, packed with more than 700 retailers as well as street performers, public art and delicious eateries. Highlights include the upmarket shopping of Rundle Place, and public sculptures of A Day Out and The Spheres, known to locals as ‘The Pigs’ and ‘The Mall’s Balls'. Have a wander down neighbouring Rundle Street for some tasty dining and exclusive retail!
Chinatown & Gouger Street
Adelaide Oval
Adelaide Gaol
Take a step into the dark side of the City’s past and explore the Adelaide Gaol with a self-guided tour. Over its 147 year lifespan, this now decommissioned colonial style gaol hosted more than 300,000 people in its time and contains its fair share of grisly stories. This is the perfect place to listen to the tales of the ghosts of yore and learn about a dark history from our recent past.
North Terrace Precinct
If you're keen to investigate South Australia's history, or just soak up some art and architecture, then the North Terrace Cultural Precinct is the place to be.
Glenelg Beach
Adelaide Zoo
Adelaide Zoo is just a 15 minute walk from the central business district and has more than 1,800 animals. The zoo has almost 300 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited in over eight hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings. Adelaide Zoo is also home to Wang Wang and Funi, the only Giant Pandas in the southern hemisphere.
