Steeped in history and drenched in class, wash it all down in Adelaide’s booming bar scene. Adelaide’s Leigh Street and Peel Street are packed with fantastic small bars; you’ll find some of the coolest spots in basements, behind secret doors and down unmarked alleyways.
Please see below for a range of restaurants that we recommend for dinner on your free night (Monday 22 October). Please contact the restaurant, hotel concierge or the 212F conference team onsite to have them arrange a booking for you.

At Shōbōsho, the restaurant blends smoke, steam, and fire; ancient traditions of Japanese yakitori, with the finesse, skill and texture of all that is raw, cured, pickled and fermented. From a specially-commissioned cooking line consisting of a wood oven, hydraulic grill, rotisserie and customised yakitori pit, the element of fire will speak through simply seasoned, seared meats and vegetables. The menu takes a journey from raw to cooked, with yakitori, noodles, dumplings, bao, robata grilled and spit roasted meats.
The bar and kitchen operates all day. From lunch, to snacks with afternoon sakes, and right into the night.

Osteria Oggi
At Osteria Oggi, seasonal produce is used, and served it in a way that is designed to share. Pasta is made fresh daily, with a carefully chosen wine list to match. ‘Oggi’ means ‘today’ in Italian – this sums up what they offer – sophisticated Italian food, inspired by tradition but in keeping with today’s tastes and best available produce. The atmosphere is great with an Italian piazza setting in the heart of Adelaide CBD, complete with a cobblestoned floor, arches, arbour, meat room, private cellar, intimate booth seating, and a mezzanine-level kitchen. The 20-metre formed concrete bar is the ideal place to sit and graze on some small dishes (we’re not just about pasta) or just swing by for a drink.
